About Webazu in Rotterdam

Mesud Mehmed — developer & technical sparring partner

Programming started as a hobby for me, and for about 10 years now I've made it my profession: building complex systems for SMEs and organizations. No agency layers or rotating teams — just direct contact with the developer who actually builds and understands it.

I design and build portals (HR/client/partner), CRM systems, web apps, dashboards, booking and reservation systems, ticketing platforms, webshops, and pretty much anything your organization can think of — including integrations (API) and data import/export. I deliberately work without a physical office, so your budget goes toward technology and results instead of overhead.

Besides that hobby, I've genuinely studied it too: an associate degree in Software Development from Hogeschool Rotterdam (2021–2024), and before that Software Developer (MBO level 4) at Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam (2018–2021) — hands-on experience combined with a solid technical foundation.

Based in the Rotterdam region, working with clients across the Netherlands and beyond
Remote-first: meetings via video, phone, and in person when needed

How I secure your data and website

99.9% security guarantee
Always HTTPS with a valid SSL certificate — your data is encrypted in transit
Sensitive data encrypted by default — even without you having to ask
Prepared statements, separated environments, clear logging
Custom-built security system: detects hacking attempts and blocks them instantly
Built on PHP 8, MySQL, REST APIs, Docker & Git
Even emails sent from your website go through an encrypted connection (TLS/SSL)
Have an existing system built by someone else? I review the code and files and improve security where needed

Nobody can guarantee 100% — I'd rather be honest about that than promise it.

Services

From first version to mature platform — with the same developer at the helm

A website is often the first contact a (potential) customer has with your business — before a phone call, quote or visit. In my view, that's not the place to cut corners. You see the content and the design; behind the scenes I take care of what's just as important: clean, fast code and SEO optimization, so your website doesn't just look trustworthy and professional, but is actually found — and keeps working.

Online foundation

Websites & webshops

I can build in WordPress, but usually advise against it: off-the-shelf templates that look like a thousand other sites and are often poorly secured. For a standard 5-6 page website I therefore prefer my own, self-built Webazu CMS — light, fast and secure, with an admin panel where you edit your own text and photos. Does your project need more customization, like a webshop (e.g. via Shopify) or integrations with other systems? Then I build everything fully custom, with the same focus on speed, stability and conversion.

From idea to concrete solution

No off-the-shelf package — custom-built to fit your process, data and goals

Own CMS: Webazu CMS

For a standard 5-6 page website without heavy custom requirements: light and blazing fast, without WordPress's plugin jungle and vulnerabilities.

Custom-built security system & spam filter
Built-in analytics
Own SEO reporting dashboard
Automatic redirect management
Admin panel: edit your own text & photos

Design & development

One consistent line across brand, UX and technology — including logo design. From a corporate site to a conversion-focused webshop or a sleek B2B portal: design, content structure and code are built together, so everything is intuitive for the user and fits seamlessly with your processes, data and integrations. Because everything is custom-built, I'm not locked into a template — even your boldest or most unusual ideas can be turned into a working, beautiful website.

Custom software

When off-the-shelf packages fall short, custom software is the logical next step. Software that follows your processes instead of the other way around, with clear documentation, secure data handling, and a structure that can grow step by step — from MVP to mature platform.

Portals & workflows

HR portals, intranets, client and partner portals and dashboards — including roles & permissions, forms, approvals, document management, integrations and reporting. Tailored exactly to your process, so the system works for you instead of the other way around.

AI solutions & automation

Smart AI chatbots for your website and automating away recurring, everyday tasks. That leaves you and your team more time for the work that really matters.

Hosting & web hosting

Dutch hosting, ideal for platforms that can't afford downtime.

SSL, backups, logging & monitoring
Clear agreements on performance & availability
Automatic alerts on error codes or downtime
Business email on your own domain (e.g. info@yourcompany.com)

Own monitoring system: watched 24/7/365

Every website or application I build is connected to my own, self-built monitoring software — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round. Even while you and I are asleep, my systems keep actively watching and automatically step in where needed.

Watched day and night, including suspicious activity — even in the middle of the night
Attackers get blocked automatically and instantly, without anyone needing to be woken up for it
I often know before you notice anything
Cron jobs: automated tasks at fixed times

Full-service technical management

Structural updates, security checks, performance tuning and ongoing development. One technical point of contact who keeps watch, warns you, and steps in when something could affect your organization. Including attention to new security guidelines and developments in integrations and payment/data platforms.

What Webazu can concretely build for you

You don't need to know every term. What matters is that you know you can come to one party for these solutions, from the first sketch to launch and ongoing management:

Who is Webazu for?

Recognize one of these situations? Then a conversation is quickly worth it

No professional website yet

You've just started out or don't have your own website yet — and simply want a strong, fast first impression, without diving straight into a big custom project.

Outgrowing your system

Your current website, portal or WordPress solution can no longer keep up with your organization's growth, or is running into its limits.

Still working with Excel or email

Important processes still run through separate Excel files, email threads or phone calls, costing you time and margin for error.

Taking over a system from someone else

You already have a system, but the previous developer is no longer reachable, or you want to switch to someone who actually picks up the phone. I go through the existing code and files and improve security where needed — even if I didn't build it myself.

Separate tools that don't talk to each other

You use different tools side by side that don't connect, while one central system would give you back that overview.

Working together

Personal, cost-conscious, and focused on a partnership that lasts for years

No expensive office

I deliberately work without a physical office. That saves on rent, furnishing, cleaning and other fixed costs that do nothing for you. Coding, testing, monitoring and fine-tuning can happen from anywhere in the world. That saving on overhead shows up in sharper rates and more room to genuinely think along with you, instead of just "billing hours".

Long relationships over volume

I deliberately don't aim for "as many projects as possible", but for a select group of clients I really get to know in depth. The better I know your processes and people, the better I can think along and get ahead of problems. Quantity isn't the same as quality — I'd rather have one strong, long-term partnership than a string of quick jobs.

Clear communication

You don't talk to an account manager, but directly with the developer who builds and maintains your system. We connect via email, phone or video, and meet in person when needed. You get honest advice, transparent hours, and updates in plain language.

My starting point: applications and integrations should run smoothly and securely, without costs piling up unnecessarily. That's how we build a long, healthy partnership together instead of a one-off project.

Approach & technology

Clear steps, a mature codebase and no compromises on security

From idea to stable product in four clear phases

1

No-obligation introduction & scope

In a conversation with no strings attached, we map out goals, processes and constraints. What's business-critical, what needs to come first, and what can wait? You get realistic technical input, even when something could be done better a different way.

2

Functional & technical proposal

You receive a proposal with scope, a rough timeline and a budget range. No vague descriptions, but clear expectations: what you get, when, and why — laid down in a clear contract.

3

Build, testing & security

Built iteratively with partial deliveries, technical reviews and attention to performance and security (prepared statements, encryption, logging, secure payment flows, role-based authorization). Always tested first in a separate test environment, before going live.

4

Launch, monitoring & ongoing development

After launch, the environment is actively monitored. Updates, incidents and new requests are handled in manageable steps. Important for your application? Then we agree on an SLA contract with pre-agreed hours per month.

You don't have to arrange everything yourself. Design, development, hosting, monitoring, security, portals, booking logic, integrations and data import/export can all sit with Webazu under one technically responsible person.

PHP 8 & PDO

Secure backend, modern syntax.

MySQL

Smart data models, indexing & performance.

JavaScript

Responsive, dynamic interfaces.

REST APIs

Secure integrations with external systems.

Excel & CSV

Reliable data import/export.

Payment integrations

iDEAL, Bancontact, credit card via Mollie/Stripe and more.

Docker

Everything is tested locally in my own test environment before going live.

Git

Clean version control of all your code, with rollback when needed.

Security & continuous learning

Monthly updates on OWASP, encryption, secure patterns and new development techniques.

Webazu CMS

Own, self-built CMS: light, fast, with an admin panel, analytics and security built in.

Pricing

Fair and transparent — you know exactly where you stand, upfront

No-obligation exploration & quote

For organizations who first want clarity on what's needed.

No-obligation quote for a web application, portal or custom integration
You describe your situation, needs and challenges.
Together we determine what's needed for a first stable version.
You receive a proposal with scope, approach and an indicative cost.
Completely no-obligation: you decide whether to take the next step.

Because there are no expensive fixed office costs, I can offer fairer pricing while still taking the time to genuinely think along with you.

Custom project

Project pricing, matched to complexity and risk.

Suitable for web applications, portals (HR/client/partner), reservation systems, ticketing, webshops, integrations and data flows.
Clear phases with tangible results at each step.
Focus on code quality, security, scalability and reliable data handling.
Smart reuse of existing systems and data wherever possible.
No office overhead charged: investment goes into technology and quality.

Custom software doesn't have to spiral out of control. By prioritizing sharply and building smart, you get a solution that already delivers value now and can grow steadily later.

Maintenance, monitoring & ongoing development

Based on a prepaid hours bundle or a fixed number of hours per month.

Regular updates, security checks and performance tuning.
Monitoring with alerts on errors or downtime.
Ongoing development as your processes or business change.
Also possible if your current solution was built by someone else.
Set up for long-term partnership rather than quick "hit & run" jobs.

You gain a technical conscience: someone who keeps watch, warns you, and improves things — not just after something breaks, but before it does. Including periodic checks on new security risks and platform developments.

What does a project at Webazu roughly cost?

Do the math yourself — this is the breakdown for an average website (5-6 pages, without extensive extra functionality).

€100 per hour, excl. VAT
±10 hours of work
€1,000 website, excl. VAT
€150 hosting per year
Total, year 1 ±€1,150 excl. VAT

The ±€1,000 for the website is a one-time payment — that's the build, not something that recurs. After that it only costs €150 per year (excl. VAT), roughly €12.50 per month. That €150 per year covers everything: domain name, SSL certificate, hosting and security — no separate extra bills.

SSL/HTTPS always on Hosted in the Netherlands Backups included 24/7/365 monitoring Emails sent encrypted

Standard included in a website at ±€1,000 (built on the in-house Webazu CMS):

5-6 pages, including a contact page where visitors can get in touch or request a quote
Built on the in-house Webazu CMS: light, fast, and you edit your own text & photos
Clear admin panel with an activity log — always clear who changed what, and when
Professional email templates: messages from your website always look polished
Built-in captcha and spam detection, plus protection against outside attacks
Built-in analytics of my own — no Google Analytics or external tools needed
SEO optimization included, aimed at the highest possible Google score
Own SEO reporting dashboard: organic traffic, keywords and pages with no traffic in one overview
Automatic redirect management, so old links never show an error
Privacy policy, cookie policy and terms & conditions neatly managed from the same CMS

No surprises — I promise you that

Bigger or more complex project? Then I lower the hourly rate or switch to a fully custom quote
Extra costs are always discussed with you first, before I make them
Changes that take under an hour are never charged
The source code is and remains yours — no lock-in, even if the partnership ever ends

Why choose Webazu instead of someone cheaper?

A cheaper option looks attractive on paper, but with software the difference is often in what you don't see: how carefully it was tested, how well your data is secured, and whether anyone is still reachable once something goes wrong. That's exactly where I make the difference.

12 / 12 points below in your favor
What matters to you? At Webazu With a very cheap provider
Communication Direct contact with the developer themselves Often through a middleman or rotating team
Website approach Own, lightweight CMS or fully custom — no off-the-shelf template Often an off-the-shelf WordPress template
Pricing agreements A clear contract upfront, no surprises Vague quotes, often extra costs afterward
Testing before launch Always tested first in a separate test environment Often tested directly on the live website
Security Own security system, data encrypted by default Often only default settings
Monitoring 24/7/365 in-house monitoring, including hacking attempts Usually no active monitoring
Version control All code neatly tracked with Git Often no version control, risk of data loss
After launch Reachable for maintenance, optionally via SLA Often no support after delivery
Background Years of experience plus formal education Skill level and experience vary widely
Response time Personal reply within 24 hours (business days) Often days of waiting, or a ticket system
Ownership of the code The source code is and remains yours, no lock-in Often unclear ownership or vendor lock-in
Documentation & handover Clear documentation, transferable to another party too Often no documentation, difficult to hand over

In short: at Webazu you're not paying for a cheap label, but for a system that keeps working, stays secure, and that you can still turn to even after launch.

Frequently asked questions

In plain language: what does working with Webazu actually look like?

Absolutely. You don't need to know any technical terms. You explain in your own words what you want to achieve (for example "we want to sell tickets", "customers need to be able to book and pay", or "we want to track orders better"). I translate that into a concrete technical approach and walk you through the choices step by step, without burying you in jargon.

From websites and webshops to complex portals (HR/client/partner), logistics applications, internal tools, booking and reservation systems, ticketing platforms, data import/export and integrations with other systems. Hosting, monitoring, logging, security and ongoing development can be included right away, so everything sits with one technical party.

We start with a short intake. Based on that you receive a proposal with scope, phasing and a cost estimate. No vague ranges, but concrete agreements. Development only starts after your approval, and you're kept in the loop on any choices along the way that affect the budget, such as extra functionality or extensions.

Yes. Existing systems can be audited: I go through the code and files, map out where the risks are, and improve security where needed — even if I didn't build the system myself. How payments and data are currently handled is reviewed too, along with what can be improved quickly and what requires a bigger step. From there it can be cleaned up, migrated and extended step by step, without needing to switch everything over at once.

After launch, your solution isn't left to fend for itself. Active monitoring can be set up, updates and security checks can be scheduled, and there's room for ongoing development. Because I keep up with new security and development techniques every month, your platform stays aligned with the demands of a fast-changing digital landscape.

No. The core of good software is knowledge, experience, focus and communication — not square meters of office space. I work remotely, but with clear agreements, set contact moments, and in-person meetings where needed. Code quality, security and guidance come first; the benefit is that you're not paying for unnecessary office costs.

Yes. Think HR portals, intranets, client or partner portals and internal tools with roles & permissions, workflows, forms, approvals, dashboards, document flows and integrations with other systems. The goal is always: less manual work, more control, and a system that fits your process.

Both. Booking and ticketing are common cases, but the core is custom software: web applications, portals, CRM systems, dashboards, integrations (API), AI solutions and data import/export. If your organization has a process that would benefit from a tailored system, Webazu can build and manage it.

Yes. Every project is taken on seriously and laid down in a clear contract, so it's clear upfront what's being built, when, and for what price. Is ongoing development important for your application after launch? Then we agree on an SLA contract with a pre-agreed number of hours per month, within which interim changes are also possible when needed.

That depends on your project. I can build in WordPress, but usually advise against it: off-the-shelf templates that look like thousands of other sites and are often poorly secured. For a standard 5-6 page website I therefore prefer my own, self-built Webazu CMS: light, fast and secure, with an admin panel where you edit your own text and photos — often the smartest combination of price and quality. Does your project need more customization, like a webshop, portal or integrations with other systems? Then I build everything fully custom, specifically tailored to your process.
